At Fairdinkum Removals our motto is Fairdinkum prices, Fairdinkum service and Fairdinkum reliability! We treat your goods as our own and pride ourselves on punctuality, communication and genuine care.
We know that moving can be stressful and we genuinely want you and your family to have a good experience with us. To help with the moving process we have provided information about our services that will help prepare you for moving day.
Things to prepare
The more you have prepared for us the smoother the service will be and the quicker it can be completed. We have included a short check list here to help you prepare for your move.
BOX SMALL ITEMS: Please box all small items as we cannot move multiple loose goods.
UNPLUG AND DEFROST FRIDGES AND FREEZERS: Any ice or water left in appliances can melt during the move and damage other items.
DISMANTLE PREFAB FURNITURE: Prefab furniture needs to be dismantled before we arrive to transport your goods. We can assist but we need to be advised in advance or an extra cost will be incurred related to the time it takes to dismantle the items.
REMOVE LIGHT GLOBES FROM LAMPS: Glass can be dangerous if broken and can attach itself to other items.
PROVIDE CLEAR ACCESS: If entry points are overgrown with trees these will need to be cleared or an alternative route for the truck access be made available.
SECURE AND ARRANGE TRANSPORT FOR FAMILY AND PETS: We cannot move family members or pets and you will need to organise specialist services. This includes fish and aquarium animals.
REMOVE FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS: We cannot move flammable liquids. You will need to empty fuel from lawn mowers and BBQ’s before they can be transported.
LABEL ELECTRONIC CABLES AND ARRANGE TECHNICIANS: We cannot set up TV’s, computers or sound systems. You may want to label and or arrange someone to connect your devices.
Fairdinkum Prices
Cash on completion of a job is our preferred method but direct deposit is acceptable by arrangement. We care about fair dinkum prices and if a job can be safely completed ahead of quoted schedule, we will only charge for the time taken for the services provided.
Fairdinkum Service
We treat your cherished items like our own and take every care when moving and loading your goods. However, we do carry transit insurance so you can rest assured that any external damage incurred from unforeseen mishaps during the move can be taken care of. Unfortunately, transit insurance does not cover internal damage where there is no physical external damage evident. If you are concerned damage has been incurred because of your move evidence of external damage will need to be evident.
Fairdinkum Reliability
We care about your moving experience. We will work with you to identify the property access and amount and type of goods you have. This information is important as it will affect how we conduct and charge for our services. If you provide inaccurate information which results in us not being able to provide the quoted services, we may need to charge for the additional services required. We reserve the right to refuse service if the job differs significantly from the quote. Examples of this include but are not limited to quoting for a single story home when the actual dwelling is double story: indicating clear access or parking where when it is not available or significantly underestimating the number of rooms and or items on the property.
